Review: Sir, You Are Being Hunted

“Sir, You Are Being Hunted is a procedurally-generated British horror in which tweed-wearing robots hunt you for sport. Roam the landscape, scavenge for food, hide breathlessly in the undergrowth, flee in terror, and even fight back with stolen weapons.

Sir is a stealth and survival game unlike any other.” -Steam

Well imagine you have been working on an experiment that has not gone as planned and for unknown reasons has sent you to a mysterious land. Where humans used to be the dominant beings, Not any longer. What if I were to tell you those humans were hunted down in this mysterious British landscape like land? Where an even greater being has taken over? What are these beings? Robots. Robots with Top hats, Coats, Tobacco Pipes and more! In “Sir You Are Being Hunted” The Sir/Madam you play as has a simple goal, Get back in time for tea. Find the 25 mysterious pieces and make your way home. This game has such a tense feeling to it that whenever I hear a robot I hide. It’s like amnesia but the scare factor reduced a little and you can fight back. It’s an open world British landscape generated world with 5 Islands, Find the pieces and get home.. But do be careful.. You are being hunted.

Review: Postal 2

“Live a week in the life of “The Postal Dude”; a hapless everyman just trying to check off some chores. Buying milk, returning an overdue library book, getting Gary Coleman’s autograph, what could possibly go wrong?

Blast, chop and piss your way through a freakshow of American caricatures in this darkly humorous first-person adventure. Meet Krotchy: the toy mascot gone bad, visit your Uncle Dave at his besieged religious cult compound and battle sewer-dwelling Taliban when you least expect them! Endure the sphincter-clenching challenge of cannibal rednecks, corrupt cops and berserker elephants. Accompanied by Champ, the Dude’s semi-loyal pitbull, battle your way through open environments populated with amazingly unpredictable AI. Utilize an arsenal of weapons ranging from a humble shovel to a uniquely hilarious rocket launcher. Collect a pack of attack dogs! Use cats as silencers! Piss and pour gasoline on anything and everyone! YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO!” -Steam

Where do I begin with this game? Well for a starters it’s so violent that New Zealand Banned it because of it’s “Gory Violence”, I’m not going to lie, that game is a brutal game in it’s nature BUT ONLY IF YOU WANT TO BE LIKE THAT! In Postal 2 you get a choice! ( I know right? Choices! ) You can be a kind hearted citizen of Arizona.. Or a murderous man mutilator with a weapons that will keep you busy for hours.. ( Been there, done that ) But anyway back to the review. So yes, this game is a gory violent choice making game where you will live the life of a man. Not just any ordinary man.. This man is called “The Postal Dude” He lives in a town known as Paradise, Arizona with his Dog and Wife. You will spend your time playing as “Postal Dude” For a week completing challenges, Objectives and.. well anything your hearts desire. The producers brought you a game where you can do anything, and I mean anything.. Want an example? Here’s one.. You can steal milk from a grocery store.. SO.. HARDCORE.. Or throw scissors at people dismembering their limbs leaving them screaming on the floor. But that’s not just it. You even get to listen to this guys constant ranting about what he wants and when he wants it. So what are you waiting for? This open world choice dazzling game is waiting for you! Get out there and play it. P.S Watch out for Rednecks in Postal 2. You’ll understand when it happens.

Adios Amigo’s.

Review: Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic

“Choose Your Path.
It is four thousand years before the Galactic Empire and hundreds of Jedi Knights have fallen in battle against the ruthless Sith. You are the last hope of the Jedi Order. Can you master the awesome power of the Force on your quest to save the Republic? Or will you fall to the lure of the dark side? Hero or villain, saviour or conqueror… you alone will determine the destiny of the entire galaxy!” -Steam

Back before BioWare made all these fancy games like Mass Effect and Dragon Age: Origins there were a series of games that could well be the best Star Wars RPG with famous Lore that wouldn’t just continue on from one game, But the entire storyline of several games, books and movies such as Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic II: The Sith Lords. Now if you’re a fan of the older setting with old texture compiles and sound capabilities, Then this game is for you, But it’s not just about the textures! Knights Of The Old Republic is a turn based RPG With many choices, You don’t just run around with a blaster blowing up every Sith you see on the planet, You interact with the characters around you by talking to them about their problems and feelings. But everything has a consequence in the end, Does it not? Choose your path to either the Light Side.. Or the Dark Side.. The choice is yours.

May the Force Be With You.

Review: Alien Swarm

Alien Swarm is a game and Source SDK release from a group of talented designers at Valve who were hired from the Mod community. Available free of charge, the game thrusts players into an epic bug hunt featuring a unique blend of co-op play and squad-level tactics. With your friends, form a squad of four distinct IAF Marine classes. – Steam

I started playing Alien Swarm a few months ago when I went through a phase of loving F2P games. But unlike any other free-to-play game, Alien Swarm brings out the most unique style of action than before. The goal is to complete the chosen stage, fighting of extra-terrestrial beasts aching for the taste of human blood. Throughout the game, you can upgrade and unlock guns and equipment. The best part about this, is that you can play online. With friends or strangers. The fun is never-ending as the stages get progressively harder. If you have ever played Call of Duty’s arcade-styled minigame, Dead Ops Arcade, then Alien Swarm will be familiar.  Alien Swarm is a must get for any kind of person. Don’t like the intensity and pressure of going online? You can also practice offline with bots. No more looking like a fool in front of your friends! When you start a game, you will need to pick a role. Each role will carry out its own certain tasks. For example; if you choose to be an engineer, your task is to open doors and disable equipment to protect your fellow players. If you are a medic, you will heal other players. Head over to the Steam store now and get Alien Swarm for free!
